Academic requirement to apply for law school in the UK

  • Most universities in England do not specify any required subjects, with the exception of General Studies and Critical Studies
  • Most universities require students to achieve a minimum of BBC to AA for A levels
  • For GCSEs, most universities will expect you to have a Grade C at GCSE English and Math (or its equivalent)
  • Many popular universities are competitive, therefore by meeting minimum entry requirements will not guarantee admission
  • Universities will also examine personal statement and some will consider the LNAT score
  • Candidates are advised to examine the admission requirements for the universities they wish to apply.It is advised to plan strategically for upcoming school semester and seek guidance early on in the planning process.
