Best Pre Law School courses for applying to North American Law Schools

  • In North America, law considered a professional degree. Candidates can apply to law school, after one has completed a bachelor degree or after three years of study.
  • There are no undergraduate majors that are guaranteed admission or future success in law school or in one’s legal career
  • The American Bar Association suggests common undergraduate majors that are typical for law school applicants: history, English, philosophy, political science, economic and business
  • It has been advised that candidate should select an undergraduate program that cater to their interests; candidates tend to excel at subjects that interest them.

 

Note: In Canada a small number of students do go into law school after two years of undergraduate studies but most would have received a first degree before doing so.
