Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT)

  • LNAT is a  standardized exam used in the UK  to assess  law school applicants
  • It helps universities to check which candidates are suitable to be enrolled in their programs.
  • It  evaluates  the following:
  • Verbal reasoning skills;
  • Ability to understand and interpret information;
  • Inductive and deductive reasoning;
  • Analyze information and draw conclusions
  • LNAT  is not legal based exam and it requires no previous knowledge in the legal system
  • The LNAT is multiple choice based exam with an additional essay writing component
  • The LNAT score and essay are given to the universities (Note: Not all law programs in the UK require applicants to have LNAT, please check the requirements of the program of interest)
  • Students can take the LNAT before or after they send off their UCAS applications
