For the medical schools in Asia Pacific, both The National University of Singapore (NUS) and The University of Melbourne are ranked the 18^th.   The University of Sydney is ranked the 26^th;  The Chinese University of Hong Kong is ranked the 28^th.  The University of Hong Kong is ranked the 37^th.

Medical School Application Seasons

The application seasons in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia have their specific systems managed by a united admission system.   However, there can be some variations in the application timeline for different university programmes, so it is advised to check the specific deadlines and requirements of the universities you are interested in. 

In the UK, the general medical school application season for A-level students typically begins in the fall of the year prior to when you want to start your studies.  The application process is managed through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), and applications are usually accepted between September and October.  This means that if you are planning to start medical school in Autumn 2025, your UCAS applications should be submitted by October 2024.    It is worth noting that the process for applying to medical school in the UK usually takes longer than for most other courses due to the higher number of applications each year.

In the US, the general medical school application season for graduates begins in late spring of the year prior to when you want to start your studies.  The application process is managed through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS), and applications are usually accepted from May.  It means that if you are planning to start medical study in Fall 2025, your AMCAS applications should have been submitted by the end of May or early June 2024.

In Canada, the general medical school application season for high school graduates typically starts as early as mid-July of the year prior to when you hope to begin medical school.  The final submission deadlines range between October and December depending on the medical
