Requirements to become a lawyer (US)

A bachelor’s degree from any field of study must be completed prior to applying to law school.
Bachelor’s degree candidates can apply to law schools to obtain a Juris Doctor (JD), which is a three-year degree program.
After the candidates have completed their JD program, candidates must write the Bar Exam that is required for licensing
Each state set its own criteria, and those wanting to practice in more than one state must pass the Bar in all states interested
