It is around the mid-year for secondary school students in the UK. While students are busy preparing for their year-end school examination and university application,  it is important for those who are interested in studying law in the future to be aware of the law school admission deadlines.

The Universities and Colleges Admission Service, also known as UCAS, is where all UK-based university applications are made through, including Oxford and Cambridge.

The UCAS deadline for Oxford and Cambridge law school applications is earlier than the general university deadline, usually in October, compared to January for general universities.  This is to allow time for the universities to review applications and conduct interviews before the deadline for other courses.

Secondary students should start preparing for their law school application well in advance of the deadline.  This includes researching universities, preparing and taking any required entrance exams, and working on your personal statement.

Keep in mind that the admission process for Oxford and Cambridge is more rigorous than for other UK universities, and will usually include interviews and assessments, such as the Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT).  Students are therefore advised to be aware of all the requirements for the universities they are interested in and plan accordingly.
