Programme 3: London Kensington Summer School is designed for students aged 14 to 17 who have an English level of 4.5 or higher. This programme allows students to explore their favourite subjects as they consider their university options. Formulated as a two-week programme, this summer camp experience is structured around small-group learning. This approach allows students to effectively acquire the basic knowledge and skills required for their chosen studying paths. This programme is enriched with interactive workshops, seminars and city tours in London, allowing students to explore the British cultural scene.

LOCATION: NOTTING HILL AND KENSINGTON, LONDON

 

 

COURSE INFORMATION

 

  • Students will take the following major subjects: 
    • Art and Design
    • Business and Entrepreneurship
    • Drama and Theatre Studies
    • Engineering and Computing
    • Law, Politics and International Relations
    • Medicine

 

  • Each week, students will participate in 3 workshops covering the following topics: 
    • Public speaking
    • University applications
    • Interview skills
    • Critical thinking
    • Media training
    • Thinking on your feet
    • Debate
    • Leadership 
    • Introduction to the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge

 

  • Field trips are an integral part of this programme.  This includes at least a university visit, exhibitions (admission fee included), and workshops hosted by industry experts 

 

  • During their leisure time, students will participate in team-building exercises and activities. These include boat cruises on the River Thames, weekend excursions to Oxford and Cambridge, as well as visits to museums, parks and London's high streets for shopping.  

 

 

PROGRAMME 3: LONDON KENSINGTON SUMMER SCHOOL INCLUDES

 

  • All academic lessons, workshops, field trips and visits, social programmes and evening activities
  • Students will reside in a state-of-the-art boarding residence just a short tube ride away from the school.  They will chaperoned to and from the school every day by the boarding house parents 
  • Friendly, live-in boarding tutors and activity staff will ensure students enjoy maximum comfort and security whilst staying and studying in London. The boarding house is equipped with electronic key cards, CCTV, and a staffed reception
  • All meals are included in this programme,  including breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday.  Brunch and dinner will be served on Sunday.  Students will enjoy a delicious and diverse culinary experience that promotes a healthy lifestyle 
  • The residential fee includes airport transfer on scheduled arrival and departure days to and from Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport between 07:30 and 18:00
