Peter is a UK-qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a MA in Finance from Dublin City University, Ireland. His career followed a classic accounting and finance career advancement profile predominantly working in multi-national companies. He has served as the Chief Financial Officer of a number of privately held national and multi-national companies as well as publicly listed multi-national companies, quoted on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in the United Kingdom and on the Nasdaq Stock Market in the USA. As his career developed, he traversed the globe, living and working in Asia, Europe, and North America leading multi-cultural workforces within national and multi-national companies in his capacity as a ‘C’ level executive. He now serves as a financial, operational, and strategic consultant to national and international businesses advising both founders starting out on their business journey and entrepreneurs focused on the development and growth of their businesses in both national and international settings. Latterly, he has become involved, in an international setting, in the formal tutoring and mentoring of final-year high school, undergraduate, graduate, and mature students in the business-related fields of accounting, economics, finance and management. Peter provides not only the academic understanding required by students in line with their course syllabus, where applicable but also an experience perspective of the application of technical knowledge as pertaining to the real world of business. In his spare time, Peter has a keen interest in history and political economy and keeps himself active as a daily runner and martial arts practitioner of one of the founding Karate styles. |
